Because you’re still you, even when your body seems to have other ideas.
Thursday 12th November 2026 | 10am–2pm
Yolk House, Brighton
One minute you’re happily getting on with life. The next, you’re standing in the kitchen wondering why you’re there, you’ve barely slept, your energy has disappeared and your body seems to have developed a personality of its own.
Sound familiar?
Perimenopause and menopause can leave you feeling like a stranger in your own body.
But understanding what’s happening, nourishing yourself properly and learning how to support your mind and body can make a real difference.
And that’s exactly why we’ve created this workshop.
No boring lectures. No scare stories. No wellness waffle.
Just practical advice, guided meditation, good conversation and a few laughs along the way.
What We’ll Explore
Nourish Your Body
Discover how nutrition can support your changing body through menopause, including energy, mood, sleep and overall wellbeing.
No restrictive diets or complicated rules. Just practical, realistic ways to nourish yourself.
Calm Your Mind
Explore how meditation and simple nervous system regulation techniques can help you manage stress, find moments of calm and support better rest.
You’ll experience a guided meditation and discover techniques you can use at home. No experience necessary!
Discover Your Energy
Where has all your energy gone?
Through our interactive Energy Workout, we’ll explore what drains your energy, what restores it and how small changes can make a meaningful difference.
It’s about working with your energy rather than constantly pushing through.
Reconnect With Yourself
Menopause can affect more than your physical health. It can change how you feel about yourself, your confidence and your sense of identity.
We’ll explore ways to reconnect with yourself and identify what you need to feel supported through this chapter of life.
A Little Nourishment Along the Way
We’ll pause for a warming lunch of soup and fresh bread, with time to chat, share experiences and enjoy being in good company.
No rushing back to your desk. No eating lunch while answering emails.
Just a little space for yourself.
You’ll Leave With…
- A better understanding of how nutrition can support your body through menopause.
- Simple meditation and calming techniques you can use in everyday life.
- Greater awareness of what drains and restores your energy.
- Practical ideas to support your sleep, mood and wellbeing.
- Your own personal wellbeing toolkit to take forward into the winter months.
And hopefully, the reassuring knowledge that you’re not the only one wondering what on earth is going on!
Meet Wendy & Tammy
Between us, we bring together expertise in nutrition, meditation, coaching and behaviour change, alongside our own lived experiences of navigating menopause.
After creating a menopause retreat together, we realised something important.
Women need more opportunities to talk openly, understand what’s happening to their bodies and discover practical ways to support themselves.
But we also believe that wellbeing doesn’t have to be overly serious, complicated or wrapped up in endless wellness jargon.
We’re not boring people. So why should our workshops be?
And that’s how How NOT To came to life.
Our mission is simple: to make navigating life’s changes a little easier, a lot more enjoyable and considerably less overwhelming.
Because life’s hard enough. Let’s NOT make it harder.
